Apply for an Amex personal gold card and get up to 75,000 Member Rewards points (see pic below), which will be equivalent to at least CAD $750. In order to get this 75,000 points, the following tasks need to be completed:
- Spend CAD 3,000 within first 3 months of card membership and get 55,000 points

- This Gold card comes with a CAD $100 travel credit every year, so to reduce the annual fee, you can book a refundable travel through Amex travel and cancel the travel after scooping the $100 travel credits. In this way the effective annual fee is reduced to CAD $150
- So the gain is 750-250+100=600 at least, not to mention that this Gold card will provide you with the following benefits
